To clarify, the week 2 assignment is a PowerPoint presentation that includes the scenario you used in the discussion forum during Week 1. It is only a PowerPoint but one slide should include the infographic created to express the concepts of the assignment (explain nursing informatics and highlight the role of a nurse leader as a knowledge worker).
The discussion for Week 1 will be graded separately. However, you need to include parts and elements from the discussion into the PowerPoint. It builds upon the Week 1 discussion.
I have attached a copy of student example for the Week 2 assignment in the DOC SHARING folder. ***It is very important that you not copy or use this presentation as it has been submitted to the University and will show up in the similarity checker.
I’ve attached the grading rubric below the instructions for the assignment. Always look to the grading rubrics for additional focus on what is expected and how the work will be assessed.
The Assignment has 3 parts:
- Explain the concept of a knowledge worker.
Define and explain nursing informatics and highlight the role of a nurse leader as a knowledge worker.
- Develop a simple infographic to help explain these concepts.

- Present the hypothetical scenario you originally shared in the Discussion Forum. I discourage over-utilization of direct quotes in DQs and assignments at the Master’s level and deduct points accordingly. As Masters’ level students, it is important that you be able to critically analyze and interpret information from journal articles and other resources. Simply restating someone else’s words does not demonstrate an understanding of the content or critical analysis of the content. It is best to paraphrase content and cite your source.
